32 Things I am Grateful for

January 27, 2017 § 2 Comments

I always believe that gratitude is happiness.

But most days, we tend to look for things to be grateful for not knowing that those things are already present in our lives. We somehow focus on the things that’s not there, instead of the things that’s already there. We tend to forget that the simpler things are the ones that make us happy.

So, since it’s my birth month, I decided to list all the simple things I am thankful and happy about, the things that I already have, to remind myself to be always grateful.

1. My Savior
I call Him G, and every day I thank Him for His unconditional love.

2. My Parents
They’re one of God’s greatest gifts.

3. My Siblings
I have seven, and I’m always thankful I have brothers and sisters. Some people don’t even have neither.

4. My Family
My family is not the type who hugs and kisses each other. We don’t also say I love you to each other. Sometimes, we even argue because of our different personalities. Despite that, my family is a treasure I will always be grateful for.

5. My Friends
I have different sets of friends. I may not be in touch with some of them anymore, but I know I can still count on them if things get rough.

6. My Bestfriend
She knows every aspect of my life and every detail of my body (because we sometimes shower together, duh…^^). She will always be my soulmate.

7. My Job
I’m not rich; therefore, I need to work hard so that I can provide for my own needs (and wants). With that, I am super grateful for my job which helps me become an independent woman.

8. My Books
I’m addicted to romance novels. You can’t imagine how much. Some years ago, I could not afford to buy one for me, so I just borrowed from friends just to be able to read them. Right now, I can already afford to buy a dozen books every month, and I have like twenty books I’m not able to read yet. My point? I just love them. My books that is. With them, I have the opportunity to be in a different and beautiful world.

9. My Bed
Imagine those people sleeping on the streets. See? That’s my point.

10. My Rest Day
I love Sunday because it’s my rest day. During that day, I can take a bath for two hours. I can pamper myself and read the books I wasn’t able to read yet. I can also watch my favorite TV series.

But some workers don’t even enjoy a day’s off from work.

11. My Home
Having a place to call a home is something we take for granted sometimes. That’s why I am thankful I have one.

12. Foods
I maybe skinny but I eat a lot that’s why I am grateful that I have something to eat whenever I’m hungry.

Other parts of the world are suffering from hunger right now.

13. Good Health
Being healthy is one of the things I am really thankful for. Health is not just wealth but also a blessing and not everyone is blessed with good health.

Some people suffer from cancer even if they take care of themselves.

14. Fresh Air
Breathing fresh air is a simple reminder how blessed I am.

15. Sunlight
I’m blessed and grateful because I can still feel the warmth of the sun on my skin.

16. Internet
Though it sometimes sucks, the internet is an easy and a faster way to communicate to my loved ones. It is also a great source of information.

17. Clean Water
I’m thankful every day because I have access to clean water.

18. Technology
Technology makes life more easier.

19. My Clothes
I don’t wear designer clothes. I bought most of them from “ukay-ukay” but I’m still thankful I have decent ones.

20. My Shoes
I feel so thankful I have shoes whenever I saw someone walking barefoot.

21. My Fears
My fears make me more human. They made me more alive.

22. My Disappointments
Disappointments are just spices of life. I’m thankful for my disappointments because they give color to my boring life. They also help me to be more careful in everything I do.

23. My Failures
Just like disappointments, my failures are just spices of my colorful journey in this world. They give more meaning to my existence.

24. My Education
Not all people have the opportunity to finish college that’s why I’m thankful my parents were able to send me to school.

25. My Pain
I’m grateful for my pain. Because of it, I have appreciated joy and happiness even more.

26. My Heartaches
Those heartbreaks helped me become a better person. Every heartache also helped me to be strong and made me realize that they were just bumps towards the right person.

27. My Mistakes
My mistakes are what made me who I am today. Every mistake made me strong and tough.

28. Challenges
Challenges add meaning to my life; without it, life is dull. That’s why I welcome challenges with open arms.

29. My Sanity
I’m thankful that, despite all the worries and problems, I’m still keeping it together.

30. My Freedom
I’m really grateful for the freedom to go anywhere I want, to speak my mind, to choose my religion, and basically the freedom to do anything I like so long as it doesn’t hurt or affect anyone.

Some people don’t even have the freedom to choose what clothes to wear.

31. Music
Music always has a special impact in my life, and I couldn’t imagine my life without it.

32. Kindness
Everyone deserves kindness even those who are unkind to us. And I am grateful that I have encountered people who are kind to me, people I don’t know personally but still extended their helping hand whenever I needed some help.

I said 32 things but there are so many things I’m still grateful for. But most especially, I thank G for this life. I’m not perfect and I made a lot of shortcomings but He always protected me. My life itself is a blessing.

Looking for a Party Venue? Try Laser Tag

December 1, 2015 § Leave a comment

Are you looking for a fun place for parties or fun corporate events? If you are, then you should check out laser tag arenas. These places allow you to bring out your inner child if only for one brief afternoon of fun and excitement.

If you haven’t seen the inside of a laser tag arena yet, just imagine what it would look like if you were suddenly thrust into a futuristic warzone from an 80’s sci-fi movie. Once you step into the arena, neon lights, lasers, smoke, ambient noises, and other effects, will attack all of your senses at once.

Sure, you can opt for a plain old restaurant for the venue of your party, but where’s the fun in that? Yes, it’s true that you can squeeze in a couple of parlor games into the party’s program, but that’s been done to death already, and some of your guests might find them cheesy.

What makes laser tag arenas perfect for parties? The question should be why wouldn’t it be? Where else can you find a place where you can fulfill your childhood fantasies of wielding a laser gun and blasting away your enemies? Except here, your lasers are not the kind that can hurt people, and your “enemies” are actually your friends who happened to be on the other team.

Why would you settle for Pin-the-tail on the donkey, charades, or any other cliché parlor games? Place a laser gun in your guests’ hands and have them put on their “armor” and watch as a huge grin occupies their faces.

Besides birthday parties, laser tag arenas are also great for holding corporate events, believe it or not. Let’s say you want to show your employees your appreciation for all their hard work, but you also want them to forget about their adult responsibilities and stress if only for a little while; what better way to make them feel like a kid again than having them play in a laser tag arena?

Some grownups will scoff at the idea of holding a corporate event at such a “childish” place, but deep inside of them there is a small child that is just jumping for joy at the thought of holding a laser rifle. No one really outgrows their childhood fantasies, and playing laser tag is definitely one of the best ways people can let go of their worries and let their inner child take over if just for a moment.

What are you waiting for? Why would you settle for a boring and plain venue for your parties or events when you can book a fantastic, fun-filled afternoon at your nearest Lazer Extreme laser tag arena? Grab your phone right now and give them a call!
